Poetry Contest: Words for Our Land 2016

The theme of the 2016 Poetry Competition, organized for the 8th time by the Centre for UNESCO Louis François, in partnership with ERDF, had the theme: The Wind: A Flight in Verse.
This year, we received 608 poems from the 4 departments of the Champagne Ardenne region:

  • 180 for Dawn
  • 342 for the Marne
  • 67 for the Ardennes
  • 19 for Haute-Marne

For a total of 737 participants.
27 institutions participated this year: 15 Elementary Schools, 10 Colleges and for a first participation 2 IME or Adapted Education Institution.

A jury of representatives from the Centre, book professionals and supporters of the Poetry Friendly Centre will share the poems to draw up the list of winners on March 29, 2016.
The official results will be published in mid-April and the graduation ceremony will take place in early June in the various ERDF branches in the region.
The Poetry Competition will also be presented from 24 to 28 May 2016 at the Argence de Troyes space during the "Seeds of Artists from Around the World" event where the 100 winners of the Competition will be exhibited to the general public.
